Reverse Shoulder Prosthesis

Reverse shoulder prostheses are a type of shoulder replacement used primarily for patients with rotator cuff deficiency or severe arthritis. Unlike traditional shoulder replacements, the ball and socket are reversed—placing the ball on the shoulder blade (scapula) and the socket on the upper arm bone (humerus). This design improves stability and allows the deltoid muscle to compensate for a damaged rotator cuff, restoring shoulder function and reducing pain.

Sizing
& Options

Metal Glenoid Baseplate
Ø 24mm. Ti+HA coated
The titanium alloy metal glenoid baseplate has a 24 mm diameter which is one of the smallest in the World. It has a plasma sprayed commercially pure titanium and Hydroxyapatite coating. The post option has a 17mm post that tapers from 7.5mm proximally to 6.5mm distally with the option for an additional +6mm, 8mm and +10mm extension posts. The metal glenoid baseplate has 4 screw holes on it. You can use polyaxial standard screws or locking screws as 10° to the superior hole and 5° to the other 3 holes. Ø24 mm metal glenoid baseplate has stem options as 16,18,20,22,24,26 mm long and it can be used 6,8,10 mm post extentions or has central screw options as the lengths 8,10,12,14,16,18 mm.

Posterior Extension
L. 6mm- 10mm
The posterior extension is avalible in two sizes: +6 and +10 mm. It has a plasma sprayed commercially pure titanium and Hydroxyapatite coating. This can help to fix the glenoid baseplate more if the bone is porotic or if you did a bony lateralisation by using a bone graft.

Locking/Standard Screw
Size, Ø4,5mm L.20-25-30-35-40
The titanium alloy glenoid screw has a 4,5 mm diameter and is available in 5 lengths: 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 mm. It helps for the fixation of the 24 mm diameter metal glenoid baseplate. The screw has two options: standard and locking. All the screw types: standard or locking, are polyaxial and allows fixation at any desired angle up to 12 degrees. The locking screws also allow locking at desired angle up to 12 degrees. When starting the fixation, it is recommended to first compress with standard screws in the anterior and posterior directions, and then use standard or locking screws in the superior and inferior directions.

Glonosphere Centric & Eccentric
Size: Ø36 & Ø40mm
The CoCr alloy Glenosphere is available in 36 and 40mm diameter sizes in centered and eccentric styles. The eccentric glenospheres are designed to be offset from the center of the glenoid baseplate. All glenospheres are slightly lateralized of 3.5mm corresponding to 10° of tilt. The curvature of the glenosphere extends 10° beyond the equator of a hemisphere. This additional articular surface lateralizes the center of rotation to help reduce the potential for scapular notching by the humeral cup.

Humeral Cup
UHMWPE Ø36 & Ø40mm L. +3,+6,+9,+12,+15,+18mm
The metal back / spacer has two lenghts: +0 and +9 mm. For primary cases you can use the +0 mm to build +3, +6, and +9 mm heights or you can choose +9 mm spacer to build additional heights of +12, +15, and +18 mm for humeral liner.

Metaphyseal Component
UHMWPE Ø36 & Ø40mm L. +3,+6,+9,+12,+15,+18mm
The metal back / spacer has two lenghts: +0 and +9 mm. For primary cases you can use the +0 mm to build +3, +6, and +9 mm heights or you can choose +9 mm spacer to build additional heights of +12, +15, and +18 mm for humeral liner.

Humeral Component Cemented & Cementless
Size: 10-12-14
The Hemilock humeral proximal component is manufactured from titanium and available in diameters of 10-12 and 14 mm in both cemented and cementless forms. The cementless humeral component has a plasma sprayed commercially pure titanium and Hydroxyapatite coating. The proximal component also has suture holes on it.

Epiphyseal Humeral Component Cemented & Cementless
Size: 27-30-33-36-38
The epiphyseal humeral component is manufactured by titanium and available in diameters Ø27-30-33-36-38 in both cemented and cementless forms. The component has a plasma sprayed commercially pure titanium and HA coating . At also has suture holes on it.

Humeral Stem Cemented & Cementless
Ø 8-9-10-11-12-13-14-15 L:95mm-120mm-160mm-180mm-200mm
There are two types of distal humeral stems in the system. Cemented and cementless forms. The cemented distal stem is round and has a grit blasted surface and available in diameters 8,9,10,11,12,13. The cementless distal stem is available in diameters 8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15. The distal end of the cementless humeral stem is cylindrical with a grit blasted surface and two unthreaded screw holes in the anterior / posterior direction for fixation using bone screws. The both cemented and cementless distal stems has a length options of 50, 120, 160, 180 and 200 mm.

Connection Screw
Cannulated L.26mm Ø6mm
The titanium alloy glenosphere screw is cannuleted. And it has a Ø6mm and 26 mm length.

Collar Implant & Screw
6 suture holes
The system has a titanium collar implant and its screw with a 6 holes which helps for the tuberosity synthesis. This system helps the surgeon a lot for fixation in cases with comminuted fractures. The collar implant system is in the products range of only three companies in the World.

Glenosphere Screw
Size, Ø4,5mm
The titianium alloy connection screw of the humeral component and the distal stem has a standard size and the diameter is Ø4,5 mm.

Cortical Screw
18, 20, 22, 24, 26, and 28 mm.
The titanium alloy cortical screw has a diameter of 4.5 mm and is available in six lengths: 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, and 28 mm. It is used to assist in the fixation of cementless humeral stems when needed. The system also includes a distal aiming guide.
